Synopsis: Orange Environment’s active efforts to preserve the prehistoric caves located at Mount Lookout in Goshen.
Orange Environment has been actively seeking to preserve the prehistoric caves located at Mount Lookout in Goshen. Archeological studies date human use of the caves as early as 12,000 years ago, placing the caves as one of the oldest sites of human activity east of the Mississippi River. Years ago OE was instrumental in the caves’ preservation, and now once again they are under threat with a proposed sale of the site. We ask all concerned citizens to join us in the fight to Save the Caves!
