Peter Lai has been a board member of Orange Environment Inc (OE) since 2000. Peter is a permaculture expert and President of TQM Associates which offers management consulting services and wholesale orchids. He has travelled to Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Japan, China, Hawaii and Haiti to learn Permaculture practices.
Peter grew up in Taiwan, and has agriculture degrees from both the National Taiwan University and Mississippi State University, as well as an MBA degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. He has provided corporate executive training programs in Taiwan and China and has taught business management courses at Marist College in New York.
Working with OE, Peter initiated a successful series of training programs and workshops in Permaculture Design, and our Practice Sustainable Living series on growing shiitake mushrooms, vegetable gardening, and composting and organic gardening. Peter has been a Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener volunteer since 2015 to support many community garden projects.
