Orange Environment has been an advocate for better air quality in Orange County for over 35 years. OE sees the operation of the CPV plant in Wawayanda and the proposed future retooling of the Danskammer plant in Newburgh as further detrimental emission impacts on local air quality and climate change — especially with the use of fracked gas.
OE has brought together experts on air pollution and particulate matter, safety and evacuation procedures, and socio-economic impacts to analyze how these plants affect local properties and populations. We continue to work alongside local communities fighting these facilities.
